Thesis: This game is about owning the stretch everyone else must pass through, felt as the click of a toll and the dread of becoming the target, decided by whether you lock two doors now or stay small enough that the hit lands on someone else.
What the crude pitch was: Monopoly of the Digital Age — a board, 80–100 component cards, monopoly cards, event cards, change cards, tax jail after ten turns, government incentive spaces, starting cash in the tens of thousands. That is Monopoly wearing a foundry. The refinery killed the board and kept the verbs: own the next door, collect the toll, lock the pair, survive the hit. Sibling game (wrong currency, not the road): TECH EMPIRE.
